Why flags
High-Impact Advertising, Proven in Cornwall
Flags deliver the most cost-effective advertising space available by using natural movement to catch the eye from a distance.
Dynamic Visibility: Movement naturally draws attention across busy car parks and event fields far better than static, flat signage.
Smart & Reusable: They are lightweight and pack into a single bag in minutes. When your branding updates, just replace the fabric and keep the hardware.
Battle-Tested Durability: Printed, sewn, and rigorously weather-tested on the wind-battered north coast of Cornwall to guarantee flawless outdoor performance.
Choose your shape
Feather or teardrop?
Same price, same mast, same bases, same accessories. It comes down to the shape of your logo.
Feather
Tall and narrow
The taller of the two and the more common sight at events. The long vertical panel suits logos and wordmarks that run downwards, and gives you the most height for your money 4.63m on the 4m mast.
Choose a feather if your logo is tall, or if height is the point.
Teardrop
Round and compact
Broader through the middle and tighter at the top, which suits round or compact logos far better. It also holds its shape in lighter wind, so your branding stays readable rather than wrapping.
Choose a teardrop if your logo is round, square or badge-shaped.
Choose your print
Single or double sided?
Most people assume double-sided is automatically better. It isn’t, and here’s the honest comparison.
Single sided
Lighter · brighter
One layer of fabric, so it’s light, it flies properly in a gentle breeze, and it’s translucent, which means with the sun behind it the colours glow rather than go flat. The reverse reads as a mirror image.
Worried about legibility from both sides? Order left- and right-handed flags and fly them as a pair.
Double sided
Readable both ways
Two printed layers, so your message reads correctly from both directions. We resisted these for years because they looked heavy and dull, until we found a printable light-block that stays light and looks good.
Worth it where people approach from both sides. The trade-off is that the light no longer comes through.
Sizes
Masts and flag heights
Three standard sizes in both shapes, all sharing the same fibreglass mast system and the same bases. We also make a 6m feather, which uses a different mast but fits the same bases with an adaptor.
| Size | Mast length | Sections | Teardrop height | Feather height | Mast colour | Material |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2m | 2.88m | 2 | 2.14m | 2.57m | Silver | Fibreglass |
| 3m | 4.10m | 3 | 3.30m | 3.64m | Black | Fibreglass |
| 4m | 5.02m | 4 | 4.02m | 4.63m | Black | Fibreglass |
| 6m feather | Custom | - | - | Tallest in the range | Black | Fibreglass |
All masts take a 16mm spigot, 26.3mm outside diameter at the base. Custom sizes available on the rectangle system.
Bases
Something to stand it in
The base matters more than people expect. Get it wrong and the flag either falls over or wraps itself round the mast. Every base we sell runs on a bearing, so the flag turns freely into the wind.
Soft ground only
Chrome spike
Cheapest, most durable and easiest to carry. If you know you’ll only ever be on grass, this is the one.
Soft ground
Cross base with pegs
Stable and quick on grass. Add a weight if you ever take it onto hard ground.
Soft & hard
Cross base with water ring
The cross base with a water ring added, for sites where you can’t rely on pegs.
Hard ground
20L water base
20kg filled. Works well with 2m and 3m flags, and pours away for the trip home.
Soft & hard
IM 40L water weight
Our own 40L base - the best answer for 3m and 4m flags in wind. Bearing fitted as standard.
Hard ground
Drive-on base
Park a wheel on it. Designed for the motor trade and anywhere a vehicle is on site.
Gazebo mounted
Flag Tent Clamp
Clamps to a gazebo leg in seconds and flies the flag high. Vastly better than cable ties, and the bearing stops it wrapping.
Buildings
Wall mount
70° and 90° mounts for shop fronts and building faces, both on bearings.
Not sure? Tell us the ground you’re on and the flag size and we’ll tell you which base you need - including when the cheap one will do.
The rest of the range
Not just feathers and teardrops
01
Festival flags
Our 3×1.5m festival flags fly from 7m poles on heavy-duty ground spikes, and no festival looks finished without them. Print them in your colours, or carry your sponsors’ names up the field.
02
Rectangle flags
Good on hard or soft ground. We recommend single-sided print on this shape.
03
Rope & toggle
Conventional, and still effective when used properly. Traditional flags for flagpoles, printed to your artwork.
04
Custom bunting
Whatever the event, printed bunting cheers it up for very little money. Cut, sewn and printed to your colours.
The choice
Two ways to do it.
Dye-sublimation, not surface print
How they’re printed
Cheap imported flags are printed straight onto the material and always look slightly washed out. Ours are dye sublimated on a 200°C heat press, which draws the colour into the fibre. A screen print can flake; this can’t.
They can go in a domestic washing machine. Very few flags can.
24 month hardware warranty
How long they last
Every mast, base and fitting carries a two year warranty. We’ve tested the lot in Cornish wind, which is not a gentle environment.
Leave a flag out for a full season and the fabric will fade - that’s UV, and it happens to every flag ever made. You’ll have had your money’s worth by then.
Replace the fabric, keep the hardware
When the artwork changes
New branding, new sponsor, or last season’s flag looking tired? Order the fabric on its own and reuse the mast and base you already own.
Cheaper for you, and a good deal less waste.
